This is all basic stuff, may seem like a lot but it's not really.
#1 - Respect the proboards TOS
Passion Threads:
No. If you need release that badly, you have a hand and you probably have some form or way to porn so have at it. But not here. If it's getting to that point then blackout, time skip, whatever you call it just do that instead. If I or any of the staff find it; instant perma-ban, no questions asked.
Gore and Cussing:
--Gore
I'm a man of simple tastes. I like my blood and guts, so if you want? Go ahead, but make sure it isn't something so extreme that it gets the site shut down.
--Cursing
I love to curse, to me, it displays emotions a lot better, and also... this is the real world so have at it, just don't have every single 3 words in a sentence be a curse word. And Please... Not a lot of f-bombs.
#2 - Respect in General
--Respect the site.
We're all here to relax and have fun. If someone g-mods, or breaks rules or something that disrespects the site then how are we supposed to have fun?
--Respect the staff, newbies/new members, members.
---Staff
This goes without saying. The staff tell you to do something you do it. If you suspect foul play then report it to me, the main admin and I'll check out the problem.
---Newbies
Now, I hate noobs as much as the next person but most aren't bad, they just aren't given a chance. So if someone is new to RP'ing, don't tease or push them away, help them anyway you can.
---New members
New members are important to the site. If you treat one like shit, they'll tell others about their bad experience of the site and those other will tell others and the end result is pretty much a site with no traffic. No traffic = dead site.
---Members
regulars are just as good as new members. Because of them the site stays active and often times, they'll bring in some fresh blood, which is great.
--Respect the chat box.
The site has a chat box. It's a luxury, so if it's abuse I can and will remove it. Don't spam the Chat box or post in appropriate links in it. Below is a list of examples of acceptable links to sites:
--Do NOT start drama
Seriously? I like a good debate every now and then. But don't do it on the site. If you HAVE to argue with the person squash it through Personal or instant messages. If it spills out onto the site, I and the staff will take action.
#1 NO god modding
NONE OF THESE ARE ACCEPTABLE.
#2 Keep OOC to a minimum in RP threads
#3 At least a paragraph or more when RP'ing or making a bio.
#4 Characters.
#5 Cannon Characters.
#6 Plot Arches.
#7 Character death.
Characters, whether canon or not, will eventually die off unless you can actually keep them alive with your skill as an RP'er. Unless your character died by means of plot, you can also enact a resurrection clause. Please refer here:
devilreborn.boards.net/index.cgi?action=display&board=rules&thread=3&page=1
Remember, your reason must be good or it will be denied.
Let your imagination run loose and just have fun, we are relaxed about the rules so don't worry. Stay on our good side and you'll have a great time here. ;D
By joining this site you agree to the following terms and conditions placed by the site staff. Failure to follow these things will result in warnings, bans, and even perma-bans.
The General Stuff
#1 - Respect the proboards TOS
I mean it, I don't want to loose my forum due to some stupid stuff. Keep it pg-13 for the most part. But just to clear things up a bit

You see it on every site. And you're gonna see it on here. When I say respect, this is what I mean.

The Role-playing Guidelines
We're not gonna tell you how you have to role play. But we will give you guidelines.
#1 NO god modding
God modding breaks down into a lot of things. The list below are basics and if spotted or reported will result in warnings or bans.
NONE OF THESE ARE ACCEPTABLE.
- Power Playing [controlling another character that isn't yours]
- Invincibility [Can't be hurt, or player ignores damage done to character]
- Mary sues [perfect characters]
- Auto-hitting [saying attacks hit and describing damage]
- Auto-killing [saying that your opponent was killed automatically]
- Meta-gaming [using out of character information in character]
#2 Keep OOC to a minimum in RP threads
Seriously. It drives me nuts when there is a paragraph or two of OOC stuff. Keep it short keep it simple, PM's are useful for full on OOC private convo's.
#3 At least a paragraph or more when RP'ing or making a bio.
I'm not big on long posts all the time. They're time consuming to make, and read and they really drain muse. So if you like your posts big then by all means go right ahead. However the minimum post count you are allowed to post is a 5 line minimum. 1-3-liners every now and then are understandable every now and then but don make a habit of it please.
#4 Characters.
I'm not gonna sit here and tell you, you can't make a character a certain way. However you do have to think of fairness when creating your character. Gods aren't fun and they certainly aren't fair. Below is a list of things that isn't fair play on this site.
- Ubers - really super powerful characters.
- Hammer spaces - Having a crap load of weapons that aren't on your character.
- Spells - Spells are okay really but having an armada full of spells isn't okay.
#5 Cannon Characters.
Because this site's plot and back story are both placed 345 in the future after Devil May Cry 4. We ask that until further notice is made, that there be no canon character applications. Any applications for Canon characters will be denied. No matter what
#6 Plot Arches.
There is something I'd like to point out for plot arches/ plot events. Usually, it is a given and unwritten or spoken rule that characters can and will die, even if you don't want it to happen. This actually adds to the suspense and usual fun of a plot arch. It should also keep you on your toes.
ALSO
I am going to point out that plots happen over an extended period of time with many plot events happening within them with their own set duration. For our fun and tranquility, DO NOT take it upon yourself to speed up or lengthen a plot event. Those caught doing so will be warned by the respective plot creator. Persistence in this, will end in a ban.

Thanks for taking the time out to read the rules. Welcome to Devil May Cry: Reloaded.
